My Star Wars fandom began in 1983 when I saw Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi at the AMC Movie Theatre in Marina Del Rey, CA. I was five, probably, NO definitely too young to see the movie that my parents took me too. I can still remember Darth revealing himself as Luke’s father 31 years later. Needless to say, Star Wars was and became a pop culture bohemoth. This week, Lucas Films and Disney released the 2nd Official teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Enjoy:

Being that it’s the week of Star Wars, check out this craze in good old Nippon. I want to try a similar Star Wars theme for my daughter next year for Hinamatsuri day.

With Star Wars mania at a fever pitch, people are talking 80’s. 1980’s shows, songs and styles are hot once again. Like the moon and the tides, neon colors, retro video games, synthesizers and acid-washed denim have their respective cycles in hearts and minds of people here in LA, and abroad.
